Overview
Trish worked as a registered nurse for many years in various areas of health care, before attending National-Louis University where she obtained a master of science degree in counseling. The combination of her education, experience, her own spiritual development, led to her belief in the connectedness of emotional health, physical disease, and spirituality.
Trish is a Certified Trauma/Loss Consultant for Youth. This treatment involves using specific drawings, usually in eight sessions, to assist children and teens to deal with grief and trauma.

Personal Statement
I strongly believe it's never too late to bloom, never too late to address issues that have gotten in your way. Therapy is a means to reach personal goals, reduce suffering, and get more enjoyment from life. To help facilitate a clients' growth, I create an emotionally safe, non-judgmental, and caring environment so that clients can share their suffering and increase self-knowledge.
It's possible to transform the negative energy of painful thoughts and feelings (once addressed) into positive energy that can facilitate self-knowledge, growth, and personal life power. Courage is being frightened and doing it anyway. Although it takes courage to begin the counseling process, addressing the issues that have caused you to suffer can enable you to rise above these issues to discover your own personal joy potential. The human spirit has an infinite capacity to heal. My sense of humor, and occasional delight with silliness, often helps to establish comfort with clients, especially with youth.
I help clients who face issues related to betrayal, abandonment, loss, and various types of abuse: emotional, physical, sexual, spiritual.
In addition to those listed below, I also accept Humana PPO, Humana HMO, and Unicare insurance.
