Personal Statement
I believe in a collaborative joining with the client on their journey toward healing. Through the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy and a client-centered approach I support and guide the client toward health and balance. Through the therapeutic process the client can identify and find balance to problems including but not limited to grief and loss, relationship issues, life transitions, anxiety, and stress. The client can learn to overcome obstacles, reach their goals, and access resources and support more effectively. I also assist clients in learning to use new coping and relaxation techniques as well to achieve the balance they are looking for.
The use of all the senses is a key component in treating with a holistic point of view. I believe that a person cannot be treated in isolation and therefore I use a holistic approach and I will collaborate with other treatment providers as necessary and as desired by the client.
