Certified Assistant Addiction Counselor
This is an entry-level certification into the
Addiction Counselor profession. Most states have a tiered license system for Addiction Counselors to reflect the professional's education, training and background. Entry level titles can assist professionals holding a higher license level, or can work under their supervision. Typically, a Certified Assistant Addiction Counselor would have an Associate's degree in addiction counseling or a related field, and must pass an exam.
