Ninety-seven percent of the winners surveyed reported feeling as happy or happier than they had been before the win. They also reported higher satisfaction and were more likely to now describe their life as "close to ideal."

As for love, the percentage of married individuals jumped from 68 to 74 percent after hitting the jackpot, while single respondants dropped from 15 to 12 percent.

Most respondants cited not the money itself as the reason for their newfound happiness however, but rather the ability to spend more time with family or to enjoy greater amounts of personal freedom.
