Article: Mental Illness and Intimate Relationships

For years, mental health professionals have urged patients with severe mental illness to avoid romantic relationships or simply failed to address the sexuality of their clients. However, both studies on these individuals and a new website giving a voice to the lovelorn "diagnosed" show that sufferers of illnesses such as schizophrenia and major depression are not only actively pursuing relationships, but may benefit greatly from them.
