One in Three Young Teenage Boys Are Heavy Users of Pornography

Young teenage boys are very heavy users of sexually explicit media content on digital or satellite television, video, and DVD and the Internet. When surveyed anonymously, 90 percent of boys and 70 percent of girls aged 13 and 14 reported accessing sexually explicit media content at least once. More than one-third of the boys reported watching sexually explicit DVDs or videos "too many times to count." The numbers among 13 and 14 year old girls are lower, but still alarming.

Parents, this study should serve as a warning call. It is and will always be critical that parents monitor their children's Internet usage.
