Personality Does Matter
Having desirable personality traits can make you more attractive, shows a study published in the journal Personal Relationships. In the experiment, male and female college students rated the attractiveness of pictures of members of the opposite sex. After a short distraction, they rated photos again--but this time were given information about each person's personality. This information proved to have a substantial impact on how desirable subject's found pictured individuals.

Parent-Child Relationships Improve with Age
As parents transition into old age and their children face increased demands as caregivers, parent-child relationships often improve, reports an examination funded by the National Institutes of Health. The study looked at parents aged 70 and older who suffered vision loss, hearing loss or general health problems and at least one of their children. Both parents and children were asked to describe the relationship. Both parents and children tended to focus on positive changes in the relationship, such as increased feelings of closeness, rather than feelings of stress or ambivalence.
