Most Children On Antidepressants Not Receiving Therapy A large-scale study on children and teens on antidepressants shows that at least half do not receive therapy in conjunction with medication. The study used data from a database of 6.8 million youth with insurance claims for antidepressants. Data showed that only about 40 percent also received a referral for at least one therapy session.
