I am privileged to work in the counseling field. People come for counseling or coaching to seek something better for themselves, and I am given the opportunity to journey with them to facilitate growth and change.
Through a relaxed and conversational approach I guide people toward an understanding of how their choices, thought patterns and behaviors may contribute to their distress and inability to cope with life's circumstances. Change is possible, and I seek to assist clients in making new choices--choices to proactively control what they can control and to better cope with those things they cannot control.
I have worked with adults who carry the weight of recent events or past experiences into their relationships or workplaces. I have worked with many difficult teens in pursuit of their independence at any cost, and with many parents that have tightened their grip to hold back this tide. In counseling I seek to help people move from being stuck or victim in their struggles to a place where they can begin to be part of their solution. This is a trust relationship that I value greatly.
Feel free to call to get a better understanding of my style or my personality. I look forward to the possibility of facilitating your process toward growth and a sense of greater control in your life.
