Personal Statement
I am very fortunate to have chosen this field of mental health and personality issues. Every day I respect more the individual's adaption to his or her life situation. Through psychotherapy and medication, my patients learn to appreciate themselves more and self-esteem is tremendously enhanced. I am particularly fond of my adult ADD patients, most of whom are unaware of this diagnosis. Perhaps my main interest is in the "attachment" between an infant and his primary caretaker. Ruptures in this process of attachment have been a central theme in many of my patients disorders.
