Personal Statement

I am a highly experienced and compassionate therapist, prepared to meet your needs, whether in a time of immediate crisis or while working on long term challenges.

To me, the most important element in psychotherapy is a safe reliable relationship with the therapist. I am warm, patient, down to earth and energetic. I know your strengths are there to be discovered. I am a patient and mindful listener. We will explore your situation, and your habits of thought and behavior, to help you to gain self-awareness, and to integrate positive changes.I can help you to change patterns which might be keeping you stuck. Issues from your past can be healed and you will feel more optimism.

Whether you want to talk or to also use creative expression, such as art therapy or journaling, the process of growth is the same. Life becomes enhanced, with new abilities and greater confidence.

I can also help you to integrate tools for mindfulness and self-observation, including yoga and meditation and breath awareness. You can develop a sense of well being and balance, in the face of changes and transitions, which are a natural part of life. You can gain access to your inner self, which can be a source of enriched meaning, groundedness, and a reliable basis for healing your past. You can develop a more patient, self-accepting and comfortable relationship with yourself, an enhanced satisfaction with life, and more joy and creativity.
