Overview

Michon received her Master's of Counseling from Denver Seminary and received her counseling licensure in the state of Colorado. She has been trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and runs groups for parents and adolescents. Her training included bipolar, depression, addictions, mood disorders, eating disorders, behavior issues, and emotional dysfunction. She was trained in the Cycle of Abuse, DBT, Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, and boundaries. Play and art therapy and cognitive behavior therapy may be integrated into sessions.

Personal Statement

I am a Christian who has gone into counseling to walk along-side the hurting. My goal in therapy is to listen to the needs of each client and to have them develop a plan of action when appropriate. I educate on the importance of validated the way you feel and I help guide you to understand what the feeling is telling you. Communication skills are integrated in order to create a sense of belonging rather than the feelings of isolation, being misunderstood, and being different that so often keeps an individual feeling "tied down" and overwhelmed.

Whatever your symptoms are I want you to know they served a good purpose at one time and now, you do not need them anymore.
