Personal Statement

In my counseling practice I try to understand and work with the unique circumstances each individual brings to the psychotherapeutic process. I focus on creating a warm and strengthening atmosphere while also looking at the problems presented from a holistic perspective that takes into account family background, childhood experiences, and current strengths and weaknesses. During counseling I take on encouraging, exploring and educational roles through the therapeutic relationship, applying my training in processses of change and growth to each client as it fits best. Using a variety of approaches, I work toward facilitating activities and interpersonal relationships that promote personal development, self-confidence, and a sense of fulfillment and purpose in life.
