Dr. Mueller received her bachaelor's degree in Chemistry from Earlham College, in Richmond, Indiana. She received her medical degree from the University of Chicago School of Medicine. Her internship was completed at Michael Reese Hospital (Mixed Medicine - Surgery). Her residency in Psychiatry was completed at Michael Reese Hospital. She received post graduate training in Psychoanalysis from the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis.

Personal Statement

As children, people pick up their picture of themselves and of what they can do in the world and expect from it from the main and often only people available to them - their parents.
These basic messages are far to often distorted by the parents' problems, and people grow up into adulthood still living by a number of assumptions and requirements (often unconscious) that helped them survive their childhood but which do not match the facts of their current reality and are self defeating.

I see my job as helping people identify these and to re-evaluate and perhaps to get unhooked from them. They are then more free to become the people they want to be.
Dr. Mueller is beginning an attention deficit disorders support group.
