The National Center For Stuttering was established in 1976. Its purposes are to provide up-to-date factual information about stuttering, to provide a National Stutterer's Hotline, to treat small groups of selected individuals who stutter, to provide continuing education for speech pathologists, and to conduct research into the causes and treatment of stuttering.
