Overview
Ron Podolnick, LCSW, received his undergraduate training at Vassar College where he majored in psychology. He graduated in 1976 with general and departmental honors. He attended graduate school in social work at the University of Chicago, School of Social Service and Administration. His focus of training was psychotherapy. Personal Statement
Throughout my many years of experience, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients with diverse problems. I have developed the ability to utilize various approaches to fit with a client's desire and needs. I have a strong background in psychodynamic and family systems approaches, but also utilize cognitive/behavioral interventions.I have received the feedback from clients that I am an effective, relaxed, welcoming therapist capable of quickly establishing rapport in pursuit of achieving goals and objectives. I believe that the establishment of a safe, trusting relationship is a key to helping clients develop insight and strategies to enhance their lives. I am forever impressed with the ways that clients share their experiences and invite me to join them on a journey towards self-discovery and improvement.
