Bryan Ritchey obtained a Master's and Specialist degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida in 2003. Mr. Ritchey is currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida and a Nationally Certified Counselor. Mr. Ritchey has been working professionally in the field of mental health counseling for the past three years. Mr. Ritchey has extensive experience working with eating disorders, LGBTQ concerns, crisis/trauma, depression/anxiety, self-esteem improvement, and relationship problems. Mr. Ritchey has worked in non-profit agencies, private treatment facilities, and in a psychiatric hospital. Mr. Ritchey also maintains private practice in Fort Lauderdale across from the Galleria Mall.

Personal Statement

Hello, if you have made it to my page, you may be suffering from depression, anxiety, confusion, pain, or general unhappiness in some area of your life. In today's stressful and fast-paced world, these types of symptoms are often the rule and not the exception. It is my sincere desire as a licensed psychotherapist to help you regain clarity, control, and direction in your life. My clinical expertise lies in the areas of LGBT issues, HIV/AIDS, depression and anxiety disorders, relationship problems, self-esteem improvement, and eating disorders.

In my practice, I enjoy using an eclectic therapeutic approach toward helping my clients. Specifically, I utilize techniques from the client centered, cognitive-behavioral, and existential schools of thought. While providing a safe space for my clients to grow, I challenge them to confront their fears and to live life with purpose.
