Personal Statement
In my 11 years of practice I have helped adults, children, and teens overcome a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, anger problems, and alcohol and drug addictions using traditional (cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy) and non-traditional (Eastern philosophy and meditation, EMDR, art therapy, and psychodrama) methods.
I believe that all people have the ability to help themselves, but sometimes due to overwhelming life circumstances, hardships, and crises; they become "stuck." My role as therapist is to help them to mobilize their own resources, tap into their inner strengths, and activate their own self-healing processes. This can be accomplished using individual, family, and group therapies, based on your specific treatment needs.
