Personal Statement

Sometimes one of the most difficult things a person can do is to call a therapist. I am committed from my first contact with a client to try to understand their needs and evaluate together what the next best step should be. This can mean scheduling time for us to meet, or referring them to someone else who might be a better fit for their needs.

If we should decide to set up an appointment, I will offer a safe, professional environment for you to talk confidentially with me about your concerns. Very often this will provide some relief, insight, and direction for our work together. Decisions about how long we will work together will be made jointly based on our discussion of your need and comfort level.

I believe in the therapeutic process and its power to help people to understand and experience themselves in a new way. Moreover I believe in each person I agree to work with and trust in the unique journey our work will take us on.
